Halloween is Nigh - A Werewolf's Desire

Halloween is nigh and with it comes the strange, the sexy, the out of this world slipping around corners, blending into shadows beneath looming magnolia trees and stalking you as you foolishly walk home alone in the stygian darkness.

Halloween brings thoughts of werewolf, witch, vampire, and ghostly beings incandescent in the night.  As a child, you are frightened of these beasties; as an adult, perhaps they take on a more sexy demeanor. 

The werewolf is misunderstood, tormented by what he must become at the advent of the full glowing moon rimmed with wispy fog.  When confronted by a maiden of olde or a sassy modern day, kick ass independent woman, his first inclination isn't to sink his teeth into tender flesh.  No, it is to slide his tongue against that flesh, to salve the torment in his soul by the taste of feminine skin against his slightly rough tongue.  To rub his body against soft curves until the wolf's bloodlust is turned into erotic lust felt by the man trapped inside, until he sheds the wolf's hunger and feeds the man's.  To feel her trembling fear turn to a woman's burning desire for the forbidden, to feed that desire until the wolf is but a dim memory, and the touch and taste of each other is a driving force to be reckoned with.  Celebrate Halloween by turning the wolf back to man and unleashing the power of desire, but remember to let some of the beast remain to fuel the fire of desire.   ~ Violet

Ohhhhhh, the food in Louisiana!!

Researching Louisiana for my second book and let me tell you, just reading about the food is enough to make me ravenous and want to head there now!  We should go :)  We'll start the morning off with couche-couche -  fried cornmeal topped with milk and/or syrup- or maybe you'd rather have a sweet as sin beignet?  Off to some sightseeing, then lunch - maybe some etoufee, jambalaya, or boudin.  You'll be sayin "Ca c'est bon" (that's good)!  More sightseeing, checking out the goings-on, appreciating, or lusting after, the sexy men and beautiful women.  Time for dinner!  Stuff ourselves with some gumbo, andouille, shrimp floating in bisque, or maque chou.  By then it'll be time to burn off some of those calories by gettin down and dirty to zydeco music and swamp pop, or lazing around and drowning in jazz with a cup of cafe au lait.   Laissez les bon temps rouler!
